Golf Simulator Space Requirements

The first question almost everyone asks. Our primary setup is an outdoor inflatable, so a backyard, patio, or any flat outdoor area works. Indoor setups are possible for select venues with a different rig.

The short answer

About 16 by 16 feet of flat ground, outdoors. That's a backyard, patio, driveway, or covered outdoor area. The inflatable provides its own enclosure, so no walls or ceiling are required from your side.

Our standard setup is outdoor inflatable

The inflatable enclosure shades the projector, contains the screen, and provides a real bay feel. It needs flat ground and a clear area. As long as the space is free of low-hanging branches, power lines, and awnings directly above the footprint, we're good to go.

Footprint

16 by 16 feet on the ground. That includes the inflatable enclosure, the hitting mat, standing room for the player, and a couple of feet for spectators behind the hitter.

Indoor setups

We don't bring the inflatable indoors. For select venues that have the right space, we have a separate non-inflatable rig (open hitting bay, screen, projector, launch monitor) we can bring instead. Availability is case by case, so if you want to talk about an indoor booking, reach out with the venue details and we'll let you know.

Spaces that work great

  • Backyards with at least a 16×16 ft flat area
  • Covered patios, decks, and pergolas
  • Driveways and large garage aprons
  • Tented event spaces and pavilions
  • Park pavilions and reserved outdoor venues
  • Country club lawns and outdoor event spaces

Spaces that usually do not work

  • Apartments with no outdoor space
  • Areas with low-hanging branches or power lines overhead
  • Steeply sloped or rocky ground
  • Open lots with no shade or weather protection

Still unsure? Send us a phone photo of the space (and a tape measure reading if you have one). We'll give you a yes, no, or maybe in a few minutes.
